That's fucking awesome news. Play this game. This game is fantastic. Everyone has their indie gem that they love on Steam and this one is mine. I cannot recommend this game enough.

I remember playing this game a while ago (2021 I think) and enjoying myself. Why did they rename it? Copyright issues?

I've got to keep an eye on this.Looks great and a bit tough. For some reason it reminded me of Cup Head.Is it Switch exclusive? Looks like it could be an awesome game on the Steam Deck!

Yup. Warner Bros didn't like them using the name. Really silly stuff.

In their post from June on Steam they say they are just doing it as a precaution, they never got anything from WB. Is there anything that says otherwise? I can't watch the video right now. Awesome game though, highly recommend it.

Yeah, I misremembered. WB hadn't yet reached out but knowing smelly stinky copyright over generic names it probably would have happened.

It's just not a very good name because of how many other things, even JUST in gaming, are already called Monolith. It makes searching for it a pain in the ass.
There are three different developers already called Monolith, for example. And all of them are VERY different studios, lol.

This is one of those games that I am baffled it didn't get more exposure throughout the years, it is one of the best iterations of the SHMUP/Roguelite genre and hopefully the console release shines a much brighter spotlight on it.

Nice! I enjoyed it on Steam but never got super deep into it. I first spotted it on a Summer Games Done Quick and was sold. It plays well, has good risk/reward mechanics, and has good chiptune music. I was wondering what the devs were up to. But it should have been on Switch ages ago.

This game is so goddamn good. It's a tiny little bite sized rogeulike that has tons of great secrets and weapon variations. Just a happy little game that feels immediately snappy and great the moment you pick it up.
I've always wanted them to port it since I think it could do great on consoles, I'm glad to see they're doing it!
